Introducing the big brother to the Baby Basilisk! This is the Belt Basilisk, with a 14 inch shot loaded handle, and a generous 24″ lash made of luscious double shoulder cowhide at 2 and a quarter inches wide. The handle is 12 plaited in black kangaroo hide with purple and red chevrons (a la “Licorice Whip”), and the edges of the lash are beveled and finished for a more polished look. Yes, you can actually crack this, granted you have to hold it relative to the plane of the lash, VERY stingy! And you can also bring it down in a solid smack–hence the “Belt” sobriquet!
